Yesterday we went on a little hike up the Goose Creek trail to Brundage Falls, a few miles from my house. The huckleberries are not quite ready for picking though I did eat one that was almost blue and it was heavenly. Annie my corgi/blue healer has just recovered from a dislocated shoulder so Tim and I took our time and stopped to take a lot of pictures and smell lots of flowers. Below are some of my favorite flowers.
The reflection on this muddy little pond made this picture look almost like a watercolor.

I love every photo:-)
Ohhhhhh thank you.<3
Hmmm...you must have a different variety of huckleberries that grow where you live - ours are red, not blue...but just as delicious, I would imagine. Another couple of weeks, and we will be heading into the mountains for our annual blueberry/huckleberry hunt. Yummy!
P.S - lovely pictures, as always...
We have red ones too. We also have the dwarf huckleberries and big fat blue ones and magenta ones. When I was little we would follow Dad around the woods living in logging camps all summer. The kids would gather huckleberries during the day and our moms would make wonderful treats with them. Now I mostly eat them on the spot. Once my sister and I collected a whole bucket of wild strawberries which are very very tiny and crazy delicious. Mom made a pie out of them and cut it into little slivers so everyone in our camp could have a little piece. That was a rare treat.
Wonderful photos, Lorie, I love to see your world!
Thank you so much Judit. I promise to share more. hugs!!!
Beautiful photography! Hopefully you will use these & more of Goose trail in a kit for us!
Wish I could see through your eyes on such an excursion. You see so much more than I do. I just love your photos and imagination:~)
