Snow

 This has been the Winter of the Blizzard - best ever for hermits and skiers. Here's our front door. It swings out so I had to shovel my way around from the back door to dig it open.  It's snowing again tonight. I tried to take a picture of the sparkly shards of snow drifting over the face of the full moon but they turned out mostly black with a tiny white dot. Moon shots are tricky.
 When the snow is this thick everything is sooooo quiet. I can hear an owl hooting a half mile away down by the river. That's just beautiful. And scary since I'm babysitting Tzooki, my sister's chihuahua/yorki , who would make a decent midnight snack for any kind of owl.  Tzooki loves the snow, she rockets right over the top without sinking in just like a quail. This is turning into a real winter lover's kind of winter.

Eeeek! It's almost Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. So, I think it's about time to search through our scrap treasures for cupids and hearts and daring darling romantic images to create immortal love messages.
