This has been the Winter of the Blizzard - best ever for hermits and skiers. Here's our front door. It swings out so I had to shovel my way around from the back door to dig it open. It's snowing again tonight. I tried to take a picture of the sparkly shards of snow drifting over the face of the full moon but they turned out mostly black with a tiny white dot. Moon shots are tricky.
When the snow is this thick everything is sooooo quiet. I can hear an owl hooting a half mile away down by the river. That's just beautiful. And scary since I'm babysitting Tzooki, my sister's chihuahua/yorki , who would make a decent midnight snack for any kind of owl. Tzooki loves the snow, she rockets right over the top without sinking in just like a quail. This is turning into a real winter lover's kind of winter.

Here too:)
Yep, I saw the picture of your cottage in her white outfit. We do windy paths through the snow too. There's something just so cozy about having a toasty warm house while all the colors outside are framed in cold, cold white.
